Task OneTranslate the following passage from English into Chinese. (20 points)
1. Time is always a riddle for man throughout the ages. People alive can only have "today"—the very day and the very moment. However, we are different in making use of 24 hours. We differ in what we do in 24 hours (what we do in 24 hours is different), therefore, what we get is different. Some idle their time away and miss many opportunities because of delay. Some spend their time in benefiting others; some work hard to move forward. How do you spend your time? If you spend some time thinking it over, you will be benefited.
Task TwoTranslate the following passage from Chinese into English. (20 points)
The Great Wall is one of the wonders of the world created by mankind. If you go to China but haven't been to the Great Wall, it's like going to Paris without seeing Eiffel Tower, or just like not going to see the pyramids in Egypt. People often say, "He who doesn't reach the Great Wall is not a true man." In fact, the Great Wall was only a few intermittent walls at first. It was not until the Qin Dynasty unified China that it became the Great Wall. However, the Great Wall we see today—from Shanhaiguan in the east to Jiayuguan in the west—was mostly built in the Ming Dynasty.

[范文] Online Teaching
A sudden epidemic has disrupted the normal teaching life of the school, and online teaching may become a powerful complement to offline classroom teaching. Hundreds of online education colleges have sprung up around China during the past several years, and therefore online teaching may by no means sound strange to most people.
Online teaching brings many advantages. Firstly, modern science and technology are developing with a fantastic speed, and so we all should possess an urgent and strong desire to study. Many people are too busy to study full time at school because of the great pace of modern society. Online teaching offers much convenience and freedom to students who can study at any time and any place as they like. Secondly, online teaching frees teachers from repeating the same contents since the online courses can be learned time and again.
However, online teaching also causes some problems that cannot be ignored. For one thing, there is no effective way to ensure that students with poor self-control make the required efforts. For another, when students are learning on the Internet, they lack direct communication with teachers and their confusion cannot be solved instantly. Based on the above problems of online teaching, some measures may be taken. Teachers can set learning goals for students, which will stimulate them to learn actively. Besides, there should be special time for teachers to answer questions after learning.
All in all, online teaching can provide different learners with various ways to learn. Both online teaching and traditional classrooms are necessary for students.
