Translate the following passage into Chinese. Write your translation on the ANSWER SHEET.1. Understanding this transition requires a look at the two-sided connection between energy and human well-being. Energy contributes positively to well-being by providing such consumer services as heating and lighting as well as serving as a necessary input to economic production. But the costs of energy--including not only the money and other resources devoted to obtaining and exploiting it, but also environmental and sociopolitical impacts—detract from well-being.
For most of human history, the dominant concerns about energy have centered on the benefit side of the energy-well-being equation. Inadequacy of energy resources or more often of the technologies and organizations for harvesting, converting, and distributing those resources has meant insufficient energy benefits and hence inconvenience, deprivation and constraints on growth. The 1970's, then, represented a turning point. After decades of constancy or decline in monetary costs--and of relegation of environmental and sociopolitical costs to secondary status--energy was seen to be getting costlier in all respects. It began to be probable that excessive energy costs could pose threats on insufficient supply. It also became possible to think that expanding some forms of energy supply could create costs exceeding the benefits.

Traditional Chinese Medicine and It's Opponents
Nowadays there is an idea that traditional Chinese medicine is unscientific and uncertain and so it should be taken out the current health care system. A fierce controversy is triggered off by the idea. I myself hold the idea that such thought is not reasonable.
In my opinion, traditional Chinese medicine is not only the fruit of the Chinese people through diligent work and accumulating wisdom of generations, but the essence of medicine in the world as well. For centuries, Chinese people struggle against diseases toughly and sum up the experience in practice, which forms the traditional Chinese medicine. In the same way, relying on the traditional Chinese medicine the Chinese people defeat different kinds of serious illness and keep their body healthy. As a result, traditional Chinese medicine plays a big role in Chinese prosperity and development. Anyone who are aware of the value of traditional Chinese medicine won't consent to the idea of doing away with it from China's medical and health system.
But it is true that there are many problems existing on the way of developing traditional Chinese medicine research. Among them, quality is the most significant thing we have to face up to. And a series of problems are waiting to ravel out, such as perplexing method of usage, arduous pharmacological process and so on.
From statements above I can say that if we want to make our traditional Chinese medicine be a member of the global medicine, our traditional medicine industry has to modernize the production devices and the product should accord with the requirements of foreign consumers. It is tough for our traditional Chinese medicine to enter the international market because the culture between the east and the west is quite various. However, our traditional Chinese medicine are finally acceptable in the world as long as domestic medicine makers can operate in line with the industry's global standards, enhance quality control and set up our own medical brand in the world.
