It is commonly believed in the United States that school is where people go to get an education. Nevertheless, it has been said that today children interrupt their education to go to school. The distinction between schooling and education implied by this remark is imporant.

Throughout a country, children arrive at school at approximately the same time, take assigned seat, are taught by an adults, use similar textbooks, do homework, take exams, and so on. The slices of reality that are to be learned, whether they are the alphabet or an understanding of the workings of government, have usually been limited by the boundaries of the subject being taught. For example, high school students know that they are not likely to find out in their classes the truth about political problems in their communities or what the newest film makers are experimenting with. There are definite conditions surrounding the formalized process of schooling.

Most people have had a dog or wanted one as their companion at some time in their lives. People who sleep about seven hours a night live the longest, three huge studies have found, the newest out in the February issue of the journal SLEEP. Still, many sleep experts say lots of adults get too little rest, and that can lead to dangerous health problems. In his brief studies, those sleeping four to five and a half hours did poorly on tests that measure memory, clear thinking and the ability to pay attention, "and they did progressively worse as the week went on," says David Dinges of the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. So far as the topic Wealth and Happiness is concerned, different people have different opinions about it. Some think that money is everything. There is no doubt that wealth brings happiness, especially in the modern society. If you have enough money, you can lead a comfortable and colorful life. But on the other hand, there are still many things that cann't be bought with money. Sometimes, it may bring about the negative effect of wealth if we don't take a proper attitude to it.
