Part Ⅴ TranslationDirections: Put the following passage into English. Write your English version on the ANSWER SHEET.1.
It's quite a natural thing that someone is attracted by the person whose thought, faith and interest are similar to his. Equally, getting along with those who have similar characteristics of appearance with you makes you feel comfortable.
You may have noticed that people getting along closely with each other in life and work tend to be similar in behavior. We will often imitate those we approach, love, or ad- mire unconsciously. Therefore, football fans will imitate a certain athlete's unique way to walk with shrugging shoulders; even two lovers' way of shaking heads is the same. Employees will imitate their employers' habit of playing with a pen among fingers while pondering over a question.
The influential persons aren't aware of this kind of imitation in all situations consciously, but the existence of this imitation will make them feel comfortable. He will be glad if he indeed notices that others' gestures or movements are identical to his, because that means he has exerted an influence on others and thus he is attractive to those people.

Should Men Be Satisfied with What They Have?
It is a controversial topic whether men should be satisfied with what they have. Our ancestors left us a saying "The person who is content with what he has will always feel happy". Yet in modern society, more and more people who are not satisfied with what they have are eager to own something more or something different. As for me, I uphold the latter one.
As far as I am concerned, human beings are born to be dissatisfied with what they have. Why are we seldom satisfied with what we have achieved? First of all, it is instinctive character for men to compare with others and compete with each other. People often unconsciously compare what they have with others' possessions. If they find someone is luckier, richer or more beautiful than them, they will feel that it is unfair and try all possible means to surpass them. Secondly, everyone has his own goals to achieve. Once people succeed in achieving their goals, they will find they can do better and reach a higher level. Furthermore, in this competitive society, if a person doesn't go ahead, he'll fall behind. Finally, people are easily attracted by novel things, especially young people who have curiosity about all new things. So even sometimes you have already got what you want, but still you expect to possess something novel and different.
I think the statements above confirm a sound conclusion that men are never satisfied with what they have. It is man's nature to pursue new things and a better life, which also benefits our society's development.
