My dear friends,
Welcome to Shanghai! And today I am very glad to have the honor to be your tour guide and show you around this city, which is crowned as "the oriental pearl". I hope you will enjoy your sightseeing here.
The schedule for today is as follows: our tour starts from the Bund (Wai Tan in Chinese) on the west bank of the Huangpu River, and we will visit Yu Yuan Garden before traveling to the opposite bank, where the Oriental Pearl Tower is located.
The Bund is a must for any visitor to Shanghai, especially for you, my foreign friends, because you will feel at home there when you see the collection of Western architecture alongside. Yu Yuan Garden is an ancient his torical site, where you may sense the traditional Chinese culture. And I guess this is also what you really want in coming to China. As for our last stop, the 468-metre-high Oriental Pearl Tower, it is a landmark of this city. From the top of it, you may have a bird-view of the beauty as well as the hustle and bustle of Shanghai.
Now, come on. Here we go!
